A gaming community that started as a joke and became something much bigger.

I'm the creator of OVG Direct, a gaming and anime channel where I share my opinions, talk about the games I love, and occasionally stir up a little internet controversy.

I've been gaming since the late 80s. I grew up through the competitive multiplayer days of Quake, Unreal Tournament, and old school arena shooters. I've been there, done that, and these days? I'm a 41 year old dad with a wife, two kids, a full time job, and a simple philosophy: I play video games to have fun.

Apparently, that bothers some people on the internet.

When I started sharing my opinions about gaming, particularly my love for PvE and cooperative experiences, the trolls came crawling out of the woodwork. I was called soft, casual, and just about everything else you can imagine.

So I embraced it.

I jokingly started calling myself Team Charmin Ultra Soft. Rather than let strangers on the internet dictate how I should enjoy my hobby, I decided to have some fun with their insults.

Eventually, we needed a name of our own, and Pillow Fort Warriors was born.

And here's the beautiful part: People tried to make me the punchline. Instead, I turned the punchline into an entire gaming community.

What started as a running joke has grown into a community of over 1,000 gamers who understand that gaming is supposed to be fun.
